State legislator charged with multiple counts of fraud, resigns from elected position

A Utah state legislator has resigned from his elected position after being charged with several counts of fraud by the Utah Attorney General's Office. Trevor Lee represented a district in Davis County until yesterday, shortly after charges were brought against him. In his resignation letter, Lee said he was stepping away to focus on personal issues. Claims of fraud came to light during the primary election -- which Lee lost -- and it now appears that the Attorney General thinks there must be some kind of truth to those claims.
