Episode Description

This morning, President Trump shared that he doesn't think guardrails or controls are needed to better protect people from the dangers of artificial intelligence. In fact, he said there needs to be less regulation so the AI industry in the U.S. can grow and win the "AI race" against China. His comments came after several industry leaders said we need to slow down AI development and introduce more safeguards. The comments from those leaders have many asking why they can't police themselves in the first place, and why they need the government to do it. For more on whether the industry could enforce rules themselves and what that would look like, Greg and Holly are joined by Cinco AI founder Tim Kapp, who's an AI builder, professor, and economist.
