Father charged with multiple felony counts of child torture appears in court

What's the line between child abuse and child torture? It's an awful question, but one we have to ask. Today, a man charged with several felony counts of child torture for taking his kids on a hike in a winter storm appeared in court. The three children were severely injured in the hike -- two of them critically -- and had to be rescued from the wintry weather. Now, Micah Smith is asking the court to allow him to contact his three children, who were 2, 4, and 8 at the time of the incident.
