Ask the Attorney: Kevin O'Leary asks for dismissal of defamation lawsuit

The man behind the Stratos Data Center in Box Elder County -- the project that spurred so much public pushback on data centers around the state -- now says the defamation lawsuit against him should be dismissed with prejudice (meaning it couldn't come back to court). Kevin O'Leary says no reasonable person who saw him make the claims on Fox News of Chinese spies would actually take them as factual reports. But the people who he spoke of see it differently, so they've filed this defamation suit against O'Leary over his allegations that they're being funded by the Chinese Communist Party.
