Artificial intelligence is getting smarter by the day, but is it getting any better at knowing right from wrong? Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is proposing what he calls “Humanity’s First Exam” -- a way to test AI’s moral reasoning, not just its ability to solve problems. So how do we teach machines to distinguish right from wrong, and what can faith traditions contribute to that effort? Greg and Holly discuss the topic with Deseret News religion reporter Tad Walch.
The all-new Inside Sources. Hosted by Greg Skordas and Dr. Holly Richardson, two well-known voices in Utah’s legal and political circles.
