Let’s Support Graceful Exits From Politics

Boyd reminds all of us to maintain compassion towards our political leaders and how isolating those positions can be. As humans, we crave connection; but these roles can sometimes prevent us from turning to other people, whether it is a choice or not. We need to reframe how we view these positions and help shape how these leaders view themselves too. Our leaders are needed but they are not irreplaceable - and it is not healthy for any of us to see them as that. It is time to have conversations about how we view our political leaders and to support them in making graceful exits from politics.
