Former King County deputy prosecutor and Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Washington Bob Scales joins the John Curley Show to discuss the end of SPD's consent decree.
Bob pulls back the curtain on why the consent decree was signed in the first place, estimates it cost Seattle tax payers $250 million and took Seattle from having one of the best and most respected police departments in the country to one of the worst.
He worked for 14 years for the City of Seattle as a public safety policy advisor to three Mayors. Bob represented the Seattle Police Department during the 2011 DOJ pattern or practice investigation and served as the Compliance Coordinator under the federal Consent Decree.
Every weekday, John Curley has an irreverent take on the news. From big stories to small ones, they all get the Curley treatment and you’ll be left laughing and thinking about the headlines in different way.
