Kelly and Corey Widman are living through every parent’s worst nightmare. In 2023, they lost their 17-year-old son, Reese, to suicide. A senior at Steilacoom High School, Reese was a gifted athlete and bright student. But behind his easy smile and natural charm, he was quietly battling depression and the effects of generalized epilepsy. Even his closest friends didn’t know how deeply he was hurting.
