Episode Description

In this week's episode of First Lady and Friends, Utah's First Lady, Abby Cox, speaks with  Lynda Horne (Utah Governor's Mansion Manager) to talk about her roots in education, how it prepared her for the current position as mansion manager, and the history of the mansion.

We also dive into some of the different ways that the mansion has been a hub of service throughout the state's history, how a Christmas tree fire changed the mansion forever, and some of the modern renovations that are taking place now.

Then we talk about the Utah Governor Mansion Artist Series and how it's an opportunity to highlight some of the great artists in the state.

Lastly, we talk about bringing back some traditions to the mansion that were on hold due to COVID-19, and Lynda's favorite thing about working at the mansion.
