Remembering Maurine Hunsaker as her killer gets closer to death penalty

A path has been cleared for Maurine Hunsaker's killer to be executed, who claims he will choose firing squad. Dave and Debby revisit Maurine's story, and honor her memory with her son, Matt Hunsaker. Hunsaker shares his and his family's fight for justice in the last 35 years since his mother's kidnapping and murder.  Continuing on the topic of the death penalty in Utah, Dave and Debby have a conversation with KSL's Legal Analyst Greg Skordas, about the effectiveness of the punishment in actuality. Dave shares his experience with the death penalty in his own life, as one of his family member's killers has been on death row since the nineties. D2 and Skordas talk about why the sentence is so often unfulfilled, and why inmates are on death row for decades.
