Episode Description
A new report about the unpaid work conducted among women is showing some staggering numbers about just how much time is spent on this unpaid wok, but also how much money could be made if women were to be paid for things like childcare, housework, elderly care, etc. The monetary value of women’s unpaid work is estimated to be $10.8 trillion annually, according to Oxfam, a global organization that works to fight inequality. Susan Madsen, Founding Director, Utah Women & Leadership Project joins the show to discuss the report and ways to close the gap.
