More people buying homes with renter ready basement apartments to offset housing prices

Being out priced in Utah's housing market is a real hot button issue right now amongst would be home owners, but some developers are getting creative with solutions to the problem, what about buying or building a brand new house that comes with a built in income stream?  Specifically built to be rent out.. D2 talk about mother in law apartments or basement apartments that are being built in new homes with renters in mind.
