Few collegiate football programs have a history as fabled as BYU’s. The Cougars squared off in their first official football game – with brutal rules and no protective gear – on October 7th, 1922. They were obliterated.
Fast forward 100 years, and BYU is set to enter the Big 12 Conference. Thanks to the legendary coaching of LaVell Edwards, the iconic athleticism of Jim McMahon, Robbie Bosco and hundreds more, and the ethics and sportsmanship inspired by LDS culture, BYU football is poised for new levels of greatness.
